Chester Charles Bennington Johnson, always called Chester Bennington, was an American singer, songwriter, and actor, known for being the vocalist of bands like Linkin Park and Dead by Sunrise. He was born on March 20, 1976, in Phoenix, Arizona, and was the son of Lee Russell Bennington and Susan Elaine Johnson.

In 1993, he joined as a vocalist the local rock band called Gray Daze, where he managed to get more musical recognition; However, he left the band in 1998 due to creative differences with the members of the group. Sometime later, Chester Bennington met Jeff Blue, vice president of Zomba Music; who told the young man about the auditions to be a member of the band, Linkin Park.

For the year 1999, he moved to Los Angeles, to try to enter Xero (Name of the band at that time). At his audition, Chester quickly attracted the attention of the band for his vocal quality, so he was accepted as a vocalist.

In 1999, Chester Bennington and the band signed with the label Warner Bros. Records and in 2000 they released their first studio album entitled “Hybrid Theory” which until now is their most impactful album, since that time, Chester and the band published the recordings: Meteora (2003), Minutes to Midnight (2007), A Thousand Suns (2010), Living Things (2012), The Hunting Party (2014), and One More Light (2017) ), also worked on the Collision Course album with Jay-Z.

Mike Shinoda

Michael Kenji Shinoda is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and graphic designer. He co-founded Linkin Park in 1996 and is the band's lead vocalist, as well as rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, primary songwriter and producer. Shinoda later created a hip-hop-driven side project, Fort Minor, in 2004. He has also served as a producer for tracks and albums by Lupe Fiasco, Styles of Beyond and The X-Ecutioners.

Shinoda is also the co-founder of Machine Shop Records, a California-based record label. Outside of music, Shinoda is an artist and graphic designer. He has painted several pieces of artwork, some of which have been featured in the Japanese American National Museum.On June 15, 2018, Shinoda released Post Traumatic, which contained 18 songs about his feelings following the death of colleague and longtime friend Chester Bennington, who died by suicide on July 20, 2017.

In 2004, Shinoda formed a side project called Fort Minor, which he used as an avenue to further showcase his hip-hop background. He explained the origin of the project's name in an interview stating, 'Fort' represents the more aggressive side of the music. 'Minor' can mean a few things: if you're talking about music theory, the minor key is darker. I wanted to name the album rather than having my name on the cover, because I want people to focus on the music, not me. Shinoda began recording songs for this side project following the release of Collision Course in November 2004.

Dave Farrell

David Michael Farrell, better known by his stage name Phoenix is an American musician, best known as the bassist and backing vocalist of the rock band Linkin Park. He was also a member of The Snax, a pop punk band.

While attending high school, Farrell joined a Christian ska punk band named Tasty Snax, who would later rename themselves to The Snax. Phoenix transitioned from the electric guitar to bass to accommodate The Snax. The band included Farrell's longtime college friend Mark Fiore, who was also associated in making of various video albums for Linkin Park. The band recorded two studio albums and one compilation album, signed to Screaming Giant Records. Farrell left the band in 2000.

Farrell joined Xero, the earliest incarnation of Linkin Park, after meeting Brad Delson at UCLA. He contributed to the band's self-titled demo tape in 1997, but left the project to tour with Tasty Snax. Farrell's void was temporally filled by Delson, Ian Hornbeck and Scott Koziol, who all contributed to Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park's debut album. Farrell returned to Linkin Park in 2000 after a year-long absence. Linkin Park went on a hiatus for nearly three years after Chester Bennington died in 2017.

Rob Bourdon

Robert Gregory Bourdon is an American musician, best known as the drummer and co-founding member of the American rock band Linkin Park.

The youngest member of the band, Bourdon met Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer, and was inspired to learn how to play the drums. After joining his high school's jazz band in his sophomore year, he met Brad Delson and Mike Shinoda, who both lived nearby in the San Fernando Valley. Bourdon and Delson would form their own band, Relative Degree.

Bourdon grew up in the town of Calabasas, California, he attended Agoura High School in Agoura Hills where he met future bandmates Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson. He currently resides in Los Angeles.

Brad Delson

Bradford Phillip Delson is an American musician and record producer, best known as the lead guitarist and one of the founding members of the American rock band Linkin Park.

Brad Delson attended Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, an affluent suburb of Los Angeles, with childhood friend and Linkin Park bandmate Mike Shinoda. He played in various bands throughout his high school career, the most notable being Relative Degree, in which he met and teamed up with drummer Rob Bourdon. Relative Degree's goal was simply to play a show and after achieving that goal, they disbanded.

In 1999, Delson's band, Xero, replaced former lead vocalist Mark Wakefield with Arizona native Chester Bennington and renamed themselves Hybrid Theory. Before long, Delson, along with Shinoda, had produced the six-track EP of the same name as the band, distributing it to various websites online and earning the band its own cult following. By 2000, after one more band name change, Linkin Park was signed by Warner Bros. Records. On October 24, 2000, Linkin Park released the overwhelmingly successful Hybrid Theory. Over the next year, Delson helped produce the remix album Reanimation (2002), and added his own creative insight into the remixed interpretation of "Pushing Me Away" ("P5hng Me A*wy").

Joe Hahn

Joseph "Joe" Hahn was born the youngest of three children on March 15, 1977, in Dallas; Hahn has two older sisters. Hahn grew up in Glendale, California, and is a second-generation Korean American. Hahn graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in Glendale in 1995. He then studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena but did not graduate.

Hahn began deejaying in high school, and he studied illustration at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. In college, he met Mike Shinoda and joined his band Xero, which would release its self-titled demo album in 1997. The band later became known as Hybrid Theory in 1999 with the EP release of the same name as the band, then was changed again into Linkin Park during the recording sessions of Hybrid Theory. Hahn and Shinoda guested in the X-Ecutioners' hit single "It's Goin' Down". Hahn also guest starred in Shinoda's Fort Minor's debut album The Rising Tied on the song "Slip Out the Back".

Outside of his work in music, Hahn provided special effects work on The X-Files and the miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune. He also directed a short film called The Seed and acquired the rights to produce a film adaptation of China Miéville's novel King Rat.
